This is exactly what I hope you're wary of. If this place becomes like Cov***.com I'm sure you can count 90% of us out in terms of both posting and the trip. Always nice to have under 25 year old suburban kids who act black come over from a site that has a sportsbook.com banner on their front page.

I welcome all the extra traffic from informed posters or posters who are respectful and looking to learn more about book legitimacy and the game itself, but I really hope this doesn't become kiddie pool wigger central for a free trip. Cheers...

I am not under 25, but I do enjoy acting black, and I am not from the suburbs but I am a fearful pussy in general.

Acting black can be as much of an artform as sports gambling can be an investment vehicle. Acting black is SO much more than throwing a few yos and niggas around, although of course I certainly maintain those words in my employ.

I'm not sure what the Covers forums are like, I never go there, and I don't know if the free Vegas trips are meant to attract people from there or not. And of course I know that poorly-done and superficial black acting is as annoying and cringe-inducing as anything else that is poorly done. But when done well, and when done right, acting black is a complex, nuanced, and rich artistic expression that can touch on basically every social and economic issue of the 20th century in subtle and/or humorous ways. You may never have actually seen it done well.

It reminds me of when I was much younger in school, and I thought I hated poetry. It all just made me sick, and I wanted it as far away from my eyes as possible. But that was only because I had never actually read good poetry, and once I did - Longfellow, Thoreau, etc etc etc, I realized that it could be great. Perhaps you have never had the privilege of watching a well-done black act by a non-black person?

If you would like, I will gladly compose a few bars of cypher for you concerning the Vegas trip, if I have the time.

Wow HG, I'm left speechless. Not only are you clearly more intelligent, you're clearly deeper and more appreciative of behaviour models. I have not had the priviledge of watching a well-done black act by a non-black person as you so intuitively alluded to, but you have my word I will do everything in my power to have the opportunity to watch the artform in its most carefully constructed way. I'm sure there must be some sort of cap off or registration date/post count requirement tied in that'll be later clarified. For now there's just going to be some increased traffic which probably will be guys posting junk hoping for a handout.

I believe in another thread SBR John said that you had to be a registered poster before the trip announcement was made to be eligible to receive the trip, and for any newcomers after that date, after March Madness, a decision would be made on them.
