John McCain will be elected President
    Guy is a star.

He will be able to separate himself from President Bush enough to get elected.

Let's face it - Obama and Clinton have no shot at this point.

    America wants a true leader.

John McCain voluntarily turned down leaving the Vietnamese prison because he said it was not fair to his other 'mates.

He voluntarily took a beating for 5 years. They broke his bones and tortured him day in and day out for 5 years and he voluntarily took it.

This guy is a leader and America knows it.

John McCain will be elected in 2008.

I agree. He also seems pretty sharp for his age. Fred Thompson just babbles incoherently and looks like he's going to be dead in an hour.

I like McCain too but he won't be elected. I'll give him a chance if he runs against Clinton because she is a witch.

for intents and purposes, thompson is out of the race. he's a non factor.

johnny mac's is sharp for his age.

american people know how important it is to have a guy that will defend the country, regardless of what they say. mccain will make our borders stronger and give us a new strategy in iraq that will make it safer and will let us have more of a supporting role as opposed to active key role...

mccan is also known for being liberal, he works with democrats and is loved by democrats...he's the perfect republican candidate.

Well if he brings the troops home we can defend our borders. Right now the only think we are defending are the oil fields in the middle east. If Mexico had an army and wanted to attack us we will have to fight with our shotguns and pistols.

Perhaps America, but apparently not Jamaica.

              Republicans now +190 at Olympic.

Apparently I'm going to get 10 months of amusement out of you "Republicans will win" people. Keep up the good work.

Wake me up if JM actually wins this race. The guy would be a huge underdog if he were the REP nominee. Any matchup for the REP will have the REP as a dog.....

What makes this guy scary is that he is psychotic. He has a bad temper and wants to escelate the war on Iraq. Not to mention, if he is elected, it's a foregone conclusion that the U.S. will go to war with Iran. Trust me, this guy is basically Bush but is more intellgent and doesn't have puppet strings attached to his back.

It's unlikely he would win the nomination though. Many of the central issues of the campaign, McCain has wildly unpopular views inconsistent with the Republican base. Sooner or later that is going to catch up to him. Not to mention his age will be made an issue in the same way gender and racre are issues even though they should not be.

I'd put McCain's chances of winning the presidency at about 15-18%. The GOP nomination is up for grab, but all the candidates they are fielding are major loosers and have way too many shortcomings.

You could say that about any candidate on both sides. This is one of the worst races in years. Watching the different debates it is startling to realize one of those people will be running our country. I'm not asking what you stand for or which candidate you may favor over another, I just want to know if you deep down believe any of these candidates are the answer.

The answer? Hell no, but that will never occur because as long as you must be a member of one of these 2 loser parties to get elected, we don't really live in a democracy anyway.

                              BUT...

Better than what we've got right now? Hell yeah.

It's like this more often than not, such is the U.S. version of democracy. I can still remember the 1980 race between failed President Jimmy Carter and 70 year old actor with the monkeys Ronald Reagan were the choices this country had, people thought the country was finished with choices like that. It will be the same story in the next election, and the election after that, and after that....

Gore would have won this election I think. In the future out children could breath air without aid of a gas mask.

                                      obama and clinton are weak

to be honest, i don't really care. i am not going to base my selection for president on their gambling stance, i feel as though there are much more important things such as iraq, immigration, and taxes :-)

If anyone has seen the news about the RealID system which is the next step to losing all your rights you should know that McCain is one of the few presidential candidates who supports it. He is nothing more than an intelligent bush and that should scare the crap out of anyone.
