I saw a boxing movie the other day with that one black guy who tells stories well about a white girl becoming a boxer in zero-to-hero fashion. I'm looking at the t.v. listings now and see some film, "Girlfight," apparently about a Hispanic female boxer. Both of them were highly rated by critics.

A more specific question in addition to the title, wtf is with multiple female boxing movies? Who's even heard of female boxing, let alone creating multiple films on the subject? That's like making a movie focusing on a male ballet dancer.

    Oh wait...

Female boxing has become very popular over the last decade, Muhammad Ali's daughter boxes. I think its increasingly popular among Americans because boxing used to be an American Sport and the American always ruled when there was a foreign contender. Now there are few Americans even in the sport. For every black man that can box there's 3 Filipinos & 2 Puerto Ricans that can whip his ass royally

Blow is so much better than American Gangster. Blow is one of the best movies of that genre ever made.
