i think the BCS is the worst system in any major sport, thats a problem to me. there is no need to complicate something that could be so simple...as for the final rankings, keep teams like hawaii out of it. if your schedule ranks 119th, then you have no say.

I tend to think too many teams are involved in some of the playoff systems. I could live with some system that allows just eight in real easy, believe that number allows for the best 'compromise' between the people with bowl power and the rest (schools, fans, bettors). But start the deal early so that the championship game is on the first Monday of January. Seems pretty easy to get some seven-bowl rotation going for this.
