The Middle East or Mexico?

Where would you rather vacation if someone forced you? Die by the hands of drug hoodlums or terrorists? Someone give me some odds here. I think drug hoodlums -140. Is that a sharp line?

At least eight people were killed when Molotov cocktails were thrown into a bar in the Mexican town of Cancun, a resort area popular with U.S. tourists, officials said Tuesday.


"The death of eight people is confirmed. Six on site -- including four women -- and two others in hospital, also women," prosecutor Francisco Alor Quezada, from the southeastern state of Quintana Roo, told AFP.


According to witnesses, six men threw the Molotov cocktails at the establishment which had reported two attempts at extortion, apparently by the Zetas drug cartel.


Local media reports said the attack happened at around 1am local time Tuesday. It set off a fire which destroyed the bar, which is in a residential area not frequented by tourists, officials said.

the resorts in Mexico are immune to the violence. Gringos vacationing in Mexico is their bread & butter. Getting into resorts in Cancun are like military installations. They aren't gonna let any American get killed while vacationing there. Now if you wanna go wandering the streets of Nuevo Laredo late night, you do that at your own risk

Booked Jamaica already...When the weather starts getting Shitty here in Chicago...go to the Islands.

Though they just had there own little tiff, involving alot of shooting, for a week straight.

Our friends wanted to go to Riviera Maya, but they can't go now, so were heading back to Jamaica. Which is one of the top vacation(on the cheaper end) in my eyes. Great people and Jerk Chicken down there is out of this world.

At least Mexico isn't filled with lunatic Muslims. While some innocent bystanders have been killed, most of the victims in Mexico the last 10 years are police and other traffickers. I'd happily vacation in Mexico right now. Just watch your back and don't be an idiot.

In the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Dubai are simply breathtaking. There is virtually no crime and the Arabs have pumped billions upon billions of dollars to make these places look like no other in the world. Abu Dhabi is actually the richest "region" in the world too.

The Middle East is a very nice place and luxurious in a lot of areas. I have been to the Middle East a few times and Mexico often. I am not a fan of Mexico at all. There is really no difference between Mexico and California now anyway.

Mexico resorts easy. At least you will have hot women to look at on the beach. mid east ladies wear black bags head to toe.

Some places in Mexico should be without risk and way cheaper for americans to travel to. I would choose Jordan - it is suppose to be amazing and the people are very friendly and outgoing. USA is still my #1 favorite place to travel to.
