Don't bother to ask for screen shots to validate a poster's bet

Just take a look at this thread, focusing on pages 3 and 4.

I'm not saying anyone is/has been lying about their amounts wagered, but this thread will definitely show you that there's just no point in bothering to ask. Either accept what the poster is saying to be true or don't.

And don't even suggest that posters can be asked to show tickets. JJ's posted tickets that weren't his from Vegas when his pert arse was parked in Jersey so they really mean nothing as well.

Shari I think the majority of posters here are just skeptical of everything in real life and it seems like they are very cynical people as well. It is in their nature to question things, and even when they are wrong, they will continue to embarrass themselves because they are stubborn.

A lot of posters here must live very unfulfilled , unsatisfying, boring lives, and that is probably the reason they try to lash out at others (to ATTEMPT to make them feel bad, or they are jealous of others because their lives/handicapping skills are shit)

You know what's funny? Think of dlweaver who posted his 'biggest bet ever' on Woz yesterday in the tennis forum - $5k to win $2k. Not one negative comment, just a group of people cheering him on. Why didn't anyone ask for a screenshot?

I think you're right about skepticism and I believe it's healthy to a certain degree - that's what prevents us from being scammed. But unfortunately people look down on $10 or $100 bettors and praise those they believe to be betting large amounts, leading people with low self-esteem to think they need to pretend they're betting larger than they actually are. Who cares? $10 to one person may be the equivalent of $100 or even $1000 to someone else and the loss will hurt just the same.

Agreed. I think its healthy too but not in a gambling forum where the objective is to discuss sports and plays.

Like when I was dealing of course I am going to start questioning things when a guy comes through and buy 5-10 20s and then all of the sudden he hits me up and asks me for a zip. I'm gonna be skeptical in real life situations when I need to be, but think about this:
