It's great to have a message, but some of the groups need to keep the crazy toothless goofballs toting shotguns off camera while they get their points across. The problem is the media, they don't want the "normal" people, they want the nut jobs as they make better TV.

I've never seen a crazy toothless goofball toting shotguns at any rally I have ever been to, and I've been to both tea party rallies and 912 rallies.

I watched some of Beck's speech, he was mostly talking about individualism, self sufficiency, hard work, and individual freedom. Yeah, really radical nut job talk.

So, enlighten us and tell us which specific issues that the tea party supporters care about show them to be "whack jobs"?

There was no chanting.
There was no worship of veterans and the military. Honor, yes, respect yes, thanks for their courage and hard work, yes. Worship, no.
Obama wasn't mentioned once.
The flag was not "broken out". Didn't see anyone crying.

What Beck mostly talked about was individual responsibility, hard work, individual freedom, a need to get back to basic morals.

The 96,000 number is bogus. Look at pictures of other rallies held at the memorial and compare them. The area driectly along the reflecting pool holds 75,000 by itself. The field to the left of the pool holds 250,000, the field to the right of the pool holds 200,000. The area in front of the memorial holds 25,000.

The lame stream media did the same thing at a support the troops rally I want to in 2007. There were at least 100,000 people there, the lame stream media said it was a few thousand.
