I hated it at first. My fingers are to big! In the 3rd world its pretty much all you do. Is it catching on in the US and UK?

Everyone texts here too. I think it's pretty stupid if you ask me. I can understanding doing it at work or whatever, but I'd prefer a regular phone, email, or face to face conversation over that crap any day.

Give it 5 years or less, some new and equally retarded method of communication will take over and text messaging will be in the same forgotten realm as beepers.

texting is in everywhere. It's all the rage with the kids. My daughter texts everything and rarely talks on her cell. With the boom in blackberries e mail from them may take over but for the younger (and non wealthy crowd) texting is in. I have friends in austraila but as much as I hate it texting them is cheaper than anything else (outside of e mail).

I still prefer the old fashioned phone call myself, use e mail and hate texting.

I love texting. I would much rather text a chic back and forth for a while then sit on the phone for hours talking about bullshit

i hate it, just let me talk to someone, but what i do hate is all these young people you see doing it. just go to a fast food restaurant and you'll see a group of young people texting away and laughing and giggling, but go to the counter and try and order something and they don't even know how to operate the cash register.

I hate it and think it's stupid... I disagree with texting a chick because you can't connect... If you are on the phone you actually have to talk to each other and connect, find an interest amoung each other, find out about each other...

I think it makes a dumb society even dumber... "idiocracy"

Thankfully as one poster said it will be short lived but what will replace it won't be much better... "Wearables" might be worse actually now that I think about it...

couple yrs ago i didn't realize my cell package included this option, guy calls and says "why didn't you answer my text message" i had to call the provider to figure out how to get into the screen to read them, had 18 messages and to this day i've never sent one. phones too small and my nubs are too big, just call me on the fcuking phone that's my motto.

Was one girl I knew who could text what seemed like 100 words a minute on her phone. I wanted to take here on the road, because . . . yes . . . texting competition are now the big thing at state fairs. LOL

Haha Lakerfan. Yeah I know some people who have some method of texting that they were explaining to me, pretty much tuned them out but they can hit those numbers fast as hell.
