#39I think you have the wrong sequence poker. 1st leg only has 7 horses. Did you start a race early?Comment -

i usually single the last race with a decent price.. i like the ride so im just trying to get there..
as for being a great capper.. that is not true .. im a solid loser to the game... but im getting better every day
i usually spend 300-2500 on a ticket.. i stepped up today b/c ive had a good run in hoops/bowls and had not played one in a whileComment -

#52$2 Pick 6 (6-3-1-10-1-5) 6 Correct Paid $27,870.00 Pick 6 Pool $455,299
There's a 25% takeout on the pick 6 and part of it goes to the 5 of 6's. So, it looks like there were about 10 or 11 winning tickets?
Odds of the winners were:
7/2
5/2
9/2
12-1
3/1
7/2
I can't say that this ticket is very hittable but if you went deep in the 4th leg, it really is since the other races were kinda chalky. There were 9 runners in that race for the record.
Consider the late pick 4 paid less than $2k, it makes sense. My only guess is that a lot of the sharps liked and used that 12-1 shot.
I really think you need a minimum 2 bombs to really have a huge pick 6. There was 1 semibomb and 5 other runners who looked to be hittable.
In other words, I wouldn't say you got hosed. I'd have expected a little bit more but the difference between 27k and 50k is only a couple of winning tickets. With the variance involved in the pick6, it's acceptable.
Still, great hit!Comment -

#53The other thing that just got me thinking is that there was a carryover. Sometimes the carryovers bring in some of the syndicates who play the much larger tickets. This was a very hittable ticket for a syndicate putting a decent amount of money into the wager.Comment -

#55Yes..BIG TIME..That's what I posted about earlier in the discussion. $100K is not a massive carryover, but you still get a fair amount of syndicate play. Especially is there is a wise guy horse in the sequence.Comment -

#56The race were the longshot hit was a wideopen race and the most likely for people to go deep.Comment -

#57another point of clarification.. i said they put an additional 400k plus into the pool today.. THAT WAS TRUE
i realize that the total pool was not more than that..BUT
if you add the 160k carry plus the 440k or so ... minus the 5of6 and the takeout it gets you back to a total pool of 400k or so..
just wanted to point out that more than 400k was spent todayComment -
