I call Bullshit here. No way you could be down 15K and the local let you put another 13K in action on one game. That takes time and history with a guy and proving you have the money. There's so much wrong here: first and foremost, it's preseason football...wow. secondly, the 'time to get my money back' is basically the definition of the "chasing," which no sharp/smart/intelligent gambler would ever do. and lastly, a -325 moneyline?? if you're gonna do something this stupid, have some balls and lay -700.

One thing is clear: Rickhas will never, ever, ever, pay the local this money + the existing debt he owes him. I've seen this happen too many times. For argument's sake, let's say he could scrape together an extra $300/mo and get on a payment plan. With no interest, it would still take over 8 years to pay back $30k.

Three choices here: 1. If you want to keep gambling, you have to either straight up stiff the guy and hope you can get credit action somewhere else in town once the word gets out, or sell all your belongings and move to another state. 2. If you can quit gambling, go to the local with hat in hand and offer to settle for the amount of the previous existing debt (before last night's loss) on an aggressive payment plan ($500/mo), which would be possible if he took all the time wasted 'capping' and posting and got a second (or first?) job. 3. Rob a bank, commit grand larceny, armed robbery, etc. I truly hope Richie does not opt for what's behind door #3.

Good luck man, may be time for rehab if you have health insurance through your employer. Just say it's for alcoholism and the majority of it will be covered. If not, at least try to dry out for a couple weeks and re-evaluate your life.
