A good idea SBR is to have a rough $ estimate to put in each tier of books or shoulkd I say Maximum

Most C to C+ books are fine at $3k up to $10k. But just be careful and dont be shocked when you have to hold for an hour or something else starnge happens. We get a lot of complaints like I saw XYZ rated C so I joined, now they wont return my email, ect, ect. Well, there is a reason they are rated C.

Very good question! I am all for new books or what is perceived as a book without a long track record but I go in to these books with less on the table to check them out. Once I feel comfortable I will raise my stake. As I have written before I love competition so I try to back the underdogs but I am not going to "pull my pants down". And I really take the time to research them as much as possible without listening to all the biased comments.

Instead of putting it in dollar terms, another way is percentage of bankroll. I'd keep it under 5% for a "C" book.

Dude, after my experience with wagerfree, I'm only playing with A sites...I'd have $0 in a C rated site...

Many more experienced players will only play with A and B books
Scalpers and guys that need a lot of outs will drop down to C's
Bonus guys sometimes will take shots with D's

I simply don't understand why anyone would play at a book other than an A book. I just don't get it...

FightforCalifornia, this thread is from 2005. Totally different climate back then. For some stupid reason Jamie_UK is digging up JJ's old threads.
