Will there be an NFL lockout in 2011?

Owners are going to approve a 18 game schedule for 2012...

Now i think that this is going players to push for more incentives for themselves as nfl contracts are a joke for players in that they arent guaranteed like nba and mlb..

Will there be a nfl lockout in 2011, causing some games to be missed?

Unfortunately, I definitely think there will be no football next September unless something very major happens between now and then. I think betting against there being a game Week 1 of 2011 is very much +EV at this point.

Sure as shit hope not, that would deinitely suck. Hell I remember watching scab ball back in '87 but we wouldnt even have that now. Think they will get a deal done, too much money in the game now to not have football.

Most likely going to be a lockout which just totally sucks. Hopefully something good happens in the near future to turn it around.

I say there will be a lockout. However, if the tv companies don't pay the owners if the season doesn't happen then something will probably get worked out.
