Like what is the percentage of -250 to -350 chalk losses in sports?

    MLB
    NFL
    NHL
    NBA
    NCAAF
    NCAAB

In which sport these losses are more common?

chalk is so dangerous in gambling that it should be illegal.. i think all games over -300 should be off the board. here is why.

it is to tempting for your everyday gambler when he sees a ML of -400 or even -1200 and he knows deep inside that the -1200 will win, and he gets so tempted to bet it, and then it loses and now his whole year is ruined.. it kills everything.

believe it or not, sometimes there is value in a big ML.. i'll never forget about 3-5 yrs ago, Duke was like -19.5 in NCAAB.. at matchy they were like -1700.. but at most books they were like -2400/+1700 or so.. so i bet 500 to lose 8500 thinking how easy i just made 500$.. i swear they were down at halftime by 4.. i started banging my head calling myself an idiot for ruining my year for being greedy..

they were down now by 1 with 2 min to go in game.. i was pacing like a nut.. all this for 500$ then duke leads by 1 with other team with the ball with 14 secs to go and timeout.. they set up and have a great look at a buzzer beater and it rims out.. duke win by 1.. i almost collapsed..

boys, be very careful. those big ML's are tempting as hell and at times you think no way they can lose, but trust me, they do lose.. not often, but they do.. and when you win, you win so little.. but hell, when you lose, it erases all your profits you've had the last month or so..

ML's are like crack.. they should be illegal, yet they do at times believe it or not have value.. but be very cautious. they hurt like hell when you lose.

What a load of dribble Nicky. I particular like the end where you assert they can have value "believe it or not"... No shit. It is a ******* exploitable market like any other. The concept of chalk is irrelevant. It is an arbitrary idea that has nothing to do with the odds.

If ML's are good value bet them. Just don't over extended your bankroll. There is no shame in betting 1700 to 100 if you got a nice line.

As for the original question. The WTA is a burial ground for short priced favorites.
