There's no hope in hell it'd be an SBR inside job - all of us would've been hit by now.

Shari, the other guys were not scammers & was not sending them saying they were a SBR poster. They were a legit tout group sending free piks with an option to buy & their free piks were pretty fukin good. They could have got my address from anywhere.

Yeah I get that. I saw a thread about this in the Service Plays section started by someone who received this email almost 4 hours before you posted your thread. My point is I highly doubt they got the addresses as a result of an 'inside job'. Someone's going to risk their job to make a few bucks selling emails to a guy in Mexico? I somehow find that hard to believe. How many of the people who received them have signed up for the same book? That's my question.

Adding "I'm a registered user at SBR" to the start of the spam is Marketing 101. If I had obtained the addresses and was trying to sell something, I'd probably add the same thing. Some people may fall for that whole 'oh, this guy posts at SBR so he must be legit'.

No one gets email addresses through SBR. A few years ago there was a thread like this and emails were found to be farmed from the forum's profile where posters made them public. We since removed profiles. We'll do some detective work but can assure they didn't come from SBRforum. We sent our first newsletter a month ago and posters had to opt-in.
