#2Haven't had one in almost 2 yrs, smoked Newport.
Kicked a 1.5 pack a day habit. Plus they're like $7 a pack in NY. Could barely exercise without getting winded , smoking is no good for you.Comment -

#6Cigs are deadly. Most winning gamblers see the odds, and pass on them.
"Smokeless tobacco" is only slightly better. It causes a lot more tongue and esophageal cancer than smoking, which offsets the lower rates of lung cancer (compared to smokers, not healthy people).
Caffeine is the drug of choice for gamblers. 4 Cups a day of it will decrease the incidence of alzheimers, dementia and type II diabetes. The studies were so compelling, I replaced 4 diet-cokes a day with half a pot of java.Comment -

#7I chew lots of gum, it helped combat urge to smoke when going through the cravings for it, never had to wear a silly patch or crap like that.Comment -

#8Prefer the occasional cigarillo, but for a rare cigarette I stick with American Spirit. Will go months without either.Comment -

#20My dad has mouth cancer. They had to remove part of his tongue and mouth. It came back 3 more times and they keep removing. He then needed chemo and lost 30 pounds in about 10 days. He was burnt to a crisp and looked awful. Now when he talks it is hard to understand him. He also cannot taste many foods and can only swallow soft stuff. He quit smoking about 10 years ago. nothing good will come out of smoking and you may enjoy it now but in a couple decades through the pain and suffering of yourself and your loved ones you will regret those puffs. Of course, you are also killing everyone around you, stink to high heaven, and are spending a fortune for a slow death.Comment -

1 - 3 a day on non drinking days
10+ on drinking days
Thinking about quitting, havent smoked one since the new year yet. Very easy to quit when Im not drinking. Seems impossible not to smoke when i am drinking ( few times a week). So we will see what happens.Comment -
