Real sporting events do not end in ties..other than the 03' MLB All Star game.

Ties is the regular season are cool. Just not in the post season. I would like to see ties in the NBA, MLB, NHL etc.

Ties are good when there is a scoring system that doesn't favor them. In soccer since a win is 3 points and the tie is 1 point one possible point is lost. So the tie is the equivalent of a 2/3 loss.
Sometimes it doesn't make any sense to risk injuries to players to break a tie especially when the season is 42 games long and a scoring system is in play to reward wins and penalize ties.

Unless you are in a relegation battle. Then that one point can make all the difference. At the top of the table, it's not much different than a loss though.

True but a team can't be playing for draws all the time hoping to avoid relegation. Playing 42 games a year it is expected to have 7-8 ties for the whole season.
I understand the need for no ties in american football since the season is 16 games in pros and 13 games in college. Completely justified.
But sports like basketball and hockey where they play 80 games plus a season if they allow ties with a point system it's not going to change who goes in the playoffs. You can have a team go 50-25-7 in NBA and they still can make the playoffs since most teams split the OT games in losses and wins.
Same with baseball. They play 162 games. If 10 games end in ties for each team is not the end of the world. But then baseball is all about stats and records and people will have a fit.

I think the only major american sport should have ties in is the NHL for the regular season....you don't need it in the others since it can be decided fairly and quite easily.
