Sometimes I randomly knock on my wall twice for no apparent reason at the start of a game.

Also at some books I click the wrong box and notice I've selected the wrong side and change it back, and that side ends up winning! Happened a few times and I've never listened to it.

i dont bet on my teams ever. i bet on the mets 6 times this year and they lost all 6 times and one of them was some 9th inning lost to the pirates or some crap.. the 4 times i bet against them i lost.. the one time i bet the broncos was that crap game against chicago where some (now released punter) wanted to keep kicking to hester. OOOH YEAH I got a few... One is too embarrassing to mention but the other is if a critical play is coming up I have to turn the TV off... I will watch it on the CBS scoreboard for the result of the play... When I don't watch it usually works out but when I watch I get screwed... My friends hate watching games because I'll turn it off unless it's a game winning play for either team...

Don't say to me "You got it" till after the horses have crosses the finish line. I've had to many "jumped shadows and lost rider","hit rail while changing leads" and "left course while leading" footnotes to the charts of races in which I've in which someone has said that.

I never hit refresh on ESPN scoreboard

The games I cant watch on TV I get glued to the internet scoreboard.

Often doesnt seem like its refeshing...so many times in past I hit refresh and nothing but disaster

So now even if it seems like its not refreshing...i just leave it.

I hate when people post about a game I am on and saying how well that certain team is doing, then BAM, they go into a tailspin and lose.

I try not to watch the games I bet on, because they seem to do terrible if I do. Things seem to go smoother if I keep updated on a online scoreboard. I seem to have the better luck if I have the CBS Sportsline scoreboard up. If it starts to lag, I know my day is screwed.

When Illusion is on the same side of me, the guy is a jinx and a half.

Onlooker makes an interesting point. I feel kinda the same in a way. As much as I like to talk about games with you guys, sometimes when you go into the NFL forum, or NBA forum, whatever your cup of tea is, and you've got some guy calling it a lock, game of year, you vomit in your mouth a little..

Sometimes I go into the handicapping forums hoping those guys are against me and I'll feel a lot better psychologically about the pick and its chances.

That is interesting with that happening to you Jimmy G because what I have experienced so far as been just the opposite, hitting refresh and magically seeing my team pull through.

I agree also about not watching the games, really depends on if I am see it televised in my local market and if its not, just check the scores on ESPN or something.

I was once told by a handicapper never to use a red pen as you'll end up in the red. I had a losing day that day and never again have used a red pen. I forgot about that earlier when I posted.
