It happens in preseason. I got fukked last year on a preseason game where the last play instead of punting it the punter ran out of the back of the end zone for a safety. shit happens.

You are a ******* moron. He wasn't tackled in the end zone. They were up 7 with 58 seconds to go. 4th and 8 from their own 4 yard line. The punter , standing in the end zone, runs out of bounds. This 1) wastes a few seconds (KC has no timeouts), and 2) allows the punter a free kick from his own 20 yard line. The 2 points mean next to nothing in that situation.

If he kicks from the endzone, they risk KC starting their drive from the TB 40 or better. They also risk a blocked kick recovered for a TD.

Watch some ******* football games and then, maybe then, you will have a right to bitch and moan. You think anyone on TB knew the total was 34?

No..final was 20-15, ESPN has it posted wrong. I didnt see the game, but whether it was the punter, the running back, or the freakin Avon lady that took the 4yd loss, its still a tough way to lose.

They would rather give them the 2 points then punt it and have the return score a td. belicheck did the same thing in a monday night game years ago in denver. safety pinned em deep on puntoff. got ball back and scored and won. different scenario but thats why they did it.

You play to WIN the game. That play gave them the best chance to win the game.

I am almost 100% certain that those guys on that punting unit for that play wont be the same guys on the punting unit when the regular season starts in September.
