Does anyone else try not to watch their bets to reduce stress?
I just woke up to find out that I have already won 3 of 4 bets today and that 1 loss was a stupid game that I had no knowledge of

Sure it's nice to wake up around +2 units on the day already but even if it had been - 2 units I feel like my day would still be going better than normal. Anyone else get stressed/obsessed over watching their bets even if it doesn't change the outcome?

I know I would've been flipping out on one of my soccer bets cuz my team didn't take the lead til the 71st minute.

(I know that now I am awake I will watch the rest of my bets too...along with have a couple heart attacks and a brain aneurysm)

I need to start goin to the gym during the games or something

I watch NFL bets. But for the most part not MLB or NBA bets. I would rather just check the final score. Dont want to see every annoying thing in the game that fukked me over.

I think that is the whole point of gambling. Those heart breaking errors that **** you, everyone knows what I am talking about. And then of course the games that start off so bad that you almost shut the tv off only to watch your team rally and cover. That is why they call it gambling.

I never watch the games. I might not even know what the outcome of my bets was till the next day. When I lived in Vegas I would just take all the tickets from the previous day in and hand them to the cashier and let them figure out which ones were winners. But, I do sportsbetting to make money, I don't really like sports all that much. Except I do like girl's amateur beach volleyball.

you gotta watch, thats a big part of the high in gambling. It makes the thrill of victory alot sweeter and the agony of defeat more brutal.

If you gamble , it is maybe for the thrill.
If you invest, you watch to learn, or not, depending on the sport and the situation.
Either way, wagering is about making money.
Betting for a thrill is the same as going to the movies.
                          You pay for the enjoyment.

As a recreational gambler I like the exact opposite - i love channeling my stress into something, that is relatively superficial instead of killing myself over little thing that I can't really control.

I view gambling as a hobby and a meta-game; I could lose the money I have at books right now and not have it hurt me financially , but the object is obviously to win - its a stress release for me.
