#10According to this article they're still in negotiations about it. She'd be crazy to pass it up - look what it did for Celine Dion. Allowed her the chance to base her family in one city year round, they created a performing area just for her and she raked in the bucks while they catered to her every whim. Not a bad trade-off for 5 years of your life.
Pop diva Madonna is in talks for a $1 billion deal by signing up for a five-year residency in Las Vegas, which can make her the third richest female entertainer in the world.
The 'Frozen' singer is said to be in discussions with promoters to establish a run of shows in the US gambling capital, and if she signs the deal, she will be following in the footsteps of other performers such as Elton John, Cher and Celine Dion, who have all made huge sums through Vegas contracts, reports contactmusic.com.
If the rumours of the contract being worth $1 billion are true, it would push the 52-year-old up the list of highest earning women in the world. Currently, with an estimated fortune of 208 million pounds, she is in fourth place behind talk show host Oprah Winfrey, host and publisher Martha Stewart and Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling.

#18Well after Obama rapes her with taxes its about half that, and then she as to pay her entourage of managers, musicians, lawyers, accountants etc., so by the time its all said and done Id guess she would clear about a 20% of that 1 billion figure. And she is reported to be worth over 250 million as it stands now, so why commit to work a regular gig? Im sure her manager can call any casino in Vegas and name her price for any weekends she wants to perform as it is.JMO.
