They ARE rigged.

Some of them, it is so obvious it isn't even funny.

For example, when you open up a casino browser window at BetED, they ask you what type of stakes you want to play at Low $1-10, Medium $10-50, High $50 plus. Why the need for this? Hmmmm.....

I'm amazed that people would play roulette, online or live. why do casinos need to cheat you when they already have over a 5% advantage? And the people that play these games are NOT sharp... I know a sportsbook that profiles any player who loses much in the casino as an "idiot", and ignores their bets on the sportsbook side.

The odds before the streak started that the next 10 would all be same color would be greater than 2 to the 10th power (> 1 out of 1000 due to zeroes). But you really can't look at it that way because each spin is independent of previous spins and subsequently each spin has about a 50:50 chance of being red or black (not accounting for zeroes). Do yourself a favor, stop playing that game.

He didn't ask what the probability was of hitting 9 reds in a row, or of hitting 9 blacks in a row -- but rather of hitting 9 in a row of any color.

So in European roulette (single 0) the probability of 9 blacks in a row would be: (¹⁸/₃₇)⁹ ≈ 0.1526% (about 1 out of 655)
9 reds in a row: (¹⁸/₃₇)⁹ ≈ 0.1526%
9 greens in a row: (¹/₃₇)⁹ ≈ 7.695×10^-15 (about 1 out of 129 trillion)

So the probability of hitting 9 in a row of a single color would be 0.1526% + 0.1526% + 7.695×10^-15 ≈ 0.3053% or about 1 in 328 times.

Out of 1,000 spins you'd expect to see such a streak occur at least once with probability of roughly 78%.

Of course the house edge on European roulette (the game pictured in the original post) is "only" 2.703%. That's less than 60% of the vig on a single game at -110.

Of course the typical roulette player will play many more spins than the typical sports bettor will play games ..

All casino games are EV- so you lose. There is no need to rig them. It is however easy to make money in casinos by whoring the bonuses as long as you know how to do the EV calculation and can live with variance.
