6-6 records getting teams into a bowl game is ridiculous
we cant have a playoff to truly let the kids decide things on the field, but we can reward teams that finish .500 with a bowl trip. 6 wins isnt much considering most teams have 3 pop-warner teams on their schedule. bama loses 4 in a row, finishes 6-6 with a loss to la monroe, and they'll be playing in the only bowl game two days before new years?

    solid format.

money baby, its all about that money. Bowls are about money, and you are going to have 6-6 teams, when there is 32 bowls and only about 120 Div-1(or whatever its called now, Bowl championship sud-division) teams.

way back when they was only a few bowl games and only the truely good teams got there. Now it's advertising and money. Its not about whose good or whose bad it's all about the money baby. The NCAA won't come up with a good format until it truely matters (ie the money dies off). I mean come on chick a fil bowl? Captial one bowl? outback bowl?

Actually, I think if you are going to have bowls named the Gaylord Hotel bow, Mieneke Car Car bowl, etc, then 6-6 records fit perfectly.

Why not just have the Kohler Toilet Bowl, The Porto-John Shit Bowl, the http://www.papajohns.com/catering/index.htm Bowl,

and just include EVERY D-1A team?

Or we could have the Safe Sex Bowl, and have the Troy State TROJANS face the Oregon State BEAVERS every year (reserve USC Trojans for bigger bowl). In fact, make it two out of three and call the third game the "rubber" match.

True about bowl games and money, there not going anywhere either. I like the extra games to bet and bowl games even with 6-6 teams get decent tv ratings.

The only reason they get decent ratings is because of us bettors.

Ever wonder why ESPN televises MAC games on Tuesday, Wednesday nights?
