    Cops Caught in the Act
Cops abusing the badge once again.

DENVER - What started as a walk to the park with his dogs ended with a trip to the hospital for a Denver dog owner. 32-year-old Mark Ashford says he was beaten black and blue by two Denver Police officers.

"They punched him and pinned him up against the fence and forced his head into the concrete." Ashford's attorney, Will Hart, said the beating that was caught on camera is a clear case of Excessive Force. "This happened when he was walking his dogs, he has a conversation with another citizen that the police officer doesn't like and as a result, he ends up in the hospital," said Hart.

Hart says Mark Ashford was walking his dogs near 20th and Little Raven in LoDo, when he saw police pull over a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign. Ashford told the driver he saw him stop and would be willing to testify in court. Hart says the officer overheard him and "wasn't very happy."

That's when Ashford says the Denver police officers demanded his I.D. and detained him. Ashford tried to take a picture of the officers to document the incident, and a few second later he was on the ground.

Police charged Ashford with interference and resisting arrest. Hart says, the charges were later dropped because the officers violated Ashford's 4th amendment rights, "they had no reason to stop him, take his ID or detain him."

An Excessive Force complaint was filed against both officers involved. A Denver police spokesperson says the internal affairs department has completed its investigation, but they are now turning the case over to the independent police monitor. Police won't say if the officers were disciplined in any way until the investigation is complete.

I don't understand why people just take this. The cops continue to take the law into their own hands and use excessive force. If people started hunting these animals down when they are away from the rest of their gang of thugs and giving them a beating to with in an inch of their life maybe this shit will stop. Clearly the courts have shown that they always side with the thug police even when the evidence says otherwise.

Law enforcement and the DA have each others back. The dog walker did nothing wrong and he was beat done. WTF is an independent police monitor? That should go the DAs desk.

COPS should never work again in law enforcement........totally unwarranted.

fact: we don't know the whole story
fact: anyone can allege but doesn't mean it's true.

Show me the whole tape if it exists. I doubt the cops just decided to pull over and beat some random dude.

My guess is that the guy had it coming to him and is lucky they showed restraint not beating him worse.

The police chief in Castro, TX, just got arrested for DWI. He blew a .27. When he arrest record was run, it was discovered that he has a previous undisclosed DWI in the same town about 25 years ago.

Do you have all the videos of the times cops stopped a criminal or protected some citizens? I think not.

Looks pretty bad for the cops.

But I have a few questions:
-Was the pedestrian talking to the driver while the police officers giving the driver a ticket?
-Why are people so afraid to give their ID to the police? Do you feel like a big intelligent man knowing in this situation you don't have to give the cops your ID?

LAPD beat down of Rodney and the court case letting the cops off caused the LA riots in 92.

The 1992 Los Angeles Riots, also known as the 1992 Los Angeles Civil Unrest and Rodney King Uprising, were sparked on April 29, 1992, when a jury acquitted four Los Angeles Police Department officers accused in the videotaped beating of African-American motorist Rodney King following a high-speed pursuit. Thousands of people in the Los Angeles area rioted over the six days following the verdict. At that time, similar, smaller riots and anti-police actions took place in other locations in the United States and Canada. Widespread looting, assault, arson and murder occurred, and property damages topped roughly US$1 billion. In all, 53 people died during the riots and thousands more were injured.

Funny how if something random arises and you are crying like a bitch for the cops, you would feel different. Wait, let me guess. You are tough, carry a grenade launcher, and will never find you or your family possible victims.

With any profession on this earth, there are bad seeds. Priests, presidents, cops, Dr's, whores, wal mart cashiers, etc.

If you live in Mexico, most cops are corrupt.

ok but that doesn't still tell us the whole story is all I am saying. Charges dropped could simply mean they didn't have the strongest case and decided to cut their losses rather than spending money prosecuting. You could be totally right however, the cops could also be dicks.
