Top 10 wrestlers of the 80s
After we put our list in, then we can go with the consensus

    1. Hulk hogan
    2. ric flair
    3 jerry lawler
    4.Dusty rhodes
    5. harley race
    6. Kerry von erich
    7. Randy savage
    8. ultimate warrior
    9 curt hennig
    10 nick bockwinkle

henning was mainly late 80s, debut as mr perfect in 89, won awa world title
bockwinkle , rhodes and race were mainly early 80s but make the list
Lawler was awa champ, king of memphis,, beat everyone and southern champion several times .
VonErich makes the list for winning the world title over flair and being on top in
    world class wrestling

Andre the giant, ricky steamboat, jake roberts, roddy piper, ted dibiase are good, but don't make my list

Andre wasn't as active, steamboat was great but this is top ten, not 12, roddy almost makes the list but was inactive in the late 80's and never held the world title.

Not a big wresteling guy. Watched it as a kid & loved "superfly" & "the dragon." still remember having a 2nd grade freakout when steamboat got hit with the bell off the top rope & I thought he was dead. Can't believe I bought into that bullsh*t

I met Ric Flair on bourbon st after the national championship game. It was Jan 1996 & with a bunch of Noles. Every dude we saw in a gator jersey we would grab & say "hey ric flair" or "hey Danny" give me your autograph. Dumb moves by us, but we were young college kids who just lost the title to a team we already beat. One of the worst & best nights ever

I wouldn't throw Ultimate Warrior in there. He didn't really hit the scene until 1988. He didn't beat Hogan until 1990.

haystacks calhoun in the 50's-60's was the tiger woods of wrestling. no one wrestler could beat him, so they always matched him 2-1.

One of my favorites of all time was George "The Animal" Steele....nothing better then that guy going nuts with the green tongue and eating the turnbuckle and throwing the stuffing into the crowd. Dude use to slobber on the other wrestler's arm, poke them in the eye, and bite them. I don't think I ever saw that guy throw a punch
