Dude, you obviously haven't thought this through at all. Cali road trip from Ohio on $400? Yeah, that should cover the gas. WTF, you and your friend couldn't scrape up more cash than that? And you're gonna hit the SBR Bash in Vegas with the only accommodations being a tent? Man are you guys in for a rude awaking. Vegas can be pretty seedy, especially if you don't have cash and Humboldt county in no place to be fuk'in around either, better hope your friend actually does "know" somebody or you could find yourself very unwelcomed. Good luck and hope you tuned up your car and got a spare.

PBS had a story about all the "outsiders" heading to Mendicno and Humbolt counties to stake their claim in the business of weed. Everyone from the Mexican Mafia to the HA's. If you are really going out there be careful.

I didn't want to get into all that, but that's exactly what it's come down to, and now with Oakland deciding they're getting into the growing business, the market will become more risky and and dangerously competitive. I use to live in Redding and know all about what the deal is up in Mendocino and Humboldt.

Thanks for the advice guys. We set gas money aside already(350$) and I have 500 now. I will be getting another couple hundred in a week or so. We can really go anywhere we want, can always find a job on craigslist. I looked in the help wanted section in LA and I was amazed. Humboldt just looked like such a fun place also looked at modesto. I am well aware of the dangers. Although I didn't know it was a war zone. I'll be sure not to throw any gang signs up. Hey illini I'll pm you for sure if I am in your area, aren't you in cali? Anyone else wanna meet up along my journey across the US?

I'd suggest you invest in AAA if you or your friend don't have it already. Check if they even have a week or monthly membership. If your car stuffs up in the middle of nowhere, not only won't you have the cash to fix it but you won't have money to get the hell out of there.
