I am usually real calm no matter what and bet just for fun but last year It was college basketball and I put a pretty big bet for my standards on West Virginia and I dont even remember who they were playing but it looked like an easy win pretty much all of the 2nd half and into the final minutes until with about 2 min left the other team went on like a 10-0 run or something and I lost my bet by 1 point. I just chucked my nextel at the wall and put a whole in it. Broke my phone and had to fix the whole in my wall..... Anyone else have any similar stories?

Worst loss of this year was I had the under in the bears/Lions teased when they score like 50 points in the 4th quarter.

#7I had a large bet on your Faking Illini earlier this year in basketball when they were killing some team. They let the team go on some unreal run of over 10 points in the last couple of minutes and I lost the bet. AARRGGHH!!!Originally posted by 5 star bombI am usually real calm no matter what and bet just for fun but last year It was college basketball and I put a pretty big bet for my standards on West Virginia and I dont even remember who they were playing but it looked like an easy win pretty much all of the 2nd half and into the final minutes until with about 2 min left the other team went on like a 10-0 run or something and I lost my bet by 1 point. F*CK YEAH and I almost broke something before the half... I had Tx. +4 second quarter and when he fumbled that ball I picked up the remote to throw it.. I saw he got tackled and held back... Thank god for FG's...

#12I broke my oldest son's baby walker when the Oilers lost to Joe Montana and the Chiefs in 1994. I was a big Oiler fan and 7 years in a row of making the playoffs and not the AFC Championship finally got to me. Mrs. KLC didn't talk to me for a week after that.

#16Threw my directv remote on the ground and it bounced back up in to many pieces, as I was watching Rasheed wallace fluked 3 point shot from a mile goes in as time expires because the nuggets couldn't inbound the ball with .05 seconds left and the game went high.Comment -

The bigger I bet means the more I've won, the more I've won the nicer shit I've bought... Ergo I'm less likely to break it.

#20A lot of times I feel like throwing the remote at the TV screen an perpetuating serious damage to it. Never have, tho. Instead, I usually break pencils, especially if it's the one I am using for my bets.
If I am on a bad run, my pencil usually goes anyway.........just goes out. Just a stupid superstition.
I'll keep a winning pencil around forever. I still have one from circa '88-'89 that I only bring out for special occasions. Just like fine silverware.Comment -

#21I throw shoes at the TV all the time... I just whipped a football at the TV earlier this week when Steve Nash missed two FT's to kill my quarter over.... I throw a lot of sh*t at my TV but since I have a Projector ..my TV is a wall which is nice because I pound on it all the time out of frustration... It feels good too!!!

#24I've only thrown one thing during my 8 years of sports gambling.
It was the fall of 2000 and Washington was hosting Tennessee on MNF. I took the under in the 1H and it was going to cash then a pick at the end of the half by Tennessee that was returned by either Blane Bishop or Samri Rolle (I forget now) for an improbable 70-80 yd return as time expired. I mean it wasn't like a return where it was clear cut to the endzone...he had to weave through virtually all 11 Washington players, 10 of whom missed tackling him.
Anyone else remember this play.....Comment -

Last year Cinn. played Pitts. in the opener of the season and I had Cinn. for either the quarter or half I don't recall which... I thought it was in the bag with 7 sec. to go and the final play... They were in Pitts. territory and on the last play he threw a pick which the Pitts. guy took gback 85 yards for a TD but what was worse was watching Cinn. OLinemen just let this guy coast threw the whole BearCat team to give me the score... I threw everything that was in grabbing range at the wall and was jumping up and down cursing at Cinn. I had my blinds open and the guys acrossed the way were partying on the patio and I looked over and noticed everyone watching me so I chilled out... Man was I pissed...
Then there is the Carolina futures... I had them at 20-1 to win it risking 2K... When Kassey kicked that kickoff out of bounds giving NE good field position I knew I was toast and they were going to get in Adam V's range... When he hit it I just sat there and stared at nothing for a couple of hours... I didn't threw anything and when my girlfriend at the time called I just told her to give me a few days...
Having your TV on a wall does have certain advantages for gamblers...
