It’s about time!! I would like to officially reveal that the CalvinAyre.com Poster Social will be taking place at Vegas’s Noir Bar, the private and posh VIP section of LAX in the Luxor. To quote directly from the Noir Bar site, “Gleaming of elegance and accessible through a private entrance, Noir Bar features privacy, subtlety and sheer elegance”. Several of my Vegas based poker pro friends have told me Noir Bar is their favorite nightspot in Vegas and I’ve also heard it’s “the least douche-filled club on the strip”. I think it’s safe to say we’re in for a pretty good night.


So…now that you know the venue, here’s what you have to do to get in:
1)All gaming forum posters, forum staff and Bodog affiliates are welcome. If you have not done so already, RSVP with your Bodog Affiliate Manager or at posterparty@gmail.com with your forum, your forum posting name and if you’re bringing a significant other BEFORE END OF DAY TUESDAY AUGUST 17th. The guest list is closing at 11:59pm PST on Tuesday, so pleaseee don’t miss this deadline.
2)CalvinAyre.com will be sending an email to all those who have RSVP’d on Wednesday, August 18th with final logistics and instructions on how to pick up your party passes.
3)Noir Bar enforces a strict dress code and there will be no exceptions- they do not care how cool or famous you are! Here are the guidelines:
-No sneakers, tennis shoes, work boots or sandals (men) regardless of brand name or value
-No athletic wear
-No shorts
-No hats (men)
4)Come well rested, thirsty, and with your best game- the party begins at 9:30pm and ends at 2am, drinks are free all night long thanks to Calvin Ayre, and I will be accompanied by Ayre Head models who are beautiful, friendly and fun.

Wow....if this really pans out, it will be an INCREDIBLE score. I went a few years back and this was probably the most exclusive bar in Vegas. You basically needed to know someone to get in. It's attached to LAX and you can bounce from Noir to LAX without any trouble (provided you're allowed to be in Noir in the first place). The one time I went there were only four tables that were full - Britney Spears was at one of them.

As for picking up the drinks, this bar has some of the MOST expensive drinks in Vegas. The bill will definitely be in the five figures (unless Bodog is getting a discount).

Attn: FISHHEAD - I know you aren't a fan of "nightclubs" in Vegas, but this is a pretty cool spot. Lots of place to sit and chill.

I just have a hard time believing that they will let hundreds of posters into the Lounge. Two years ago it was hard enough just getting two people in.

Yeah.. I'm not trying to drink and drive. So I'm thinking of driving my car there and taking the Deuce back to Fremont.

I might get that $7 24 hour pass so I can stop somewhere for food because I know I'm going to be hungry than a muthafukka after all that drinking. Then I'll pick up my car with that same pass later. I might just say fukk taking the car and take that long ass bus ride to the Luxor.

In 2007 I took a taxi from Treasure Island to Mandalay Bay twice. One time it was $13 and one time it was $17. The difference in price was because there are two ways you can get to the Luxor and Mandalay Bay. You can take the strip or the back road. The back road was cheaper because it was less traffic and faster. So it depends on the taxi driver. My estimate from Golden Nugget to the Luxor would be around $40. So for round trip you're talking $80! You might as well take a limo there!

I hate fukkin with that Deuce bus because it literally stops at every stop, plus it is kind of sketchy at Fremont Street late at night.

Last time I did a taxi from the airport to the Nugget it was around $35. So my guess is a cab from GN to Luxor will be $30 or so.

I think you are correct. I checked taxifarefinder.com and it said around $30 and that includes tip.

It really depends on your driver. If you have a driver who isn't driving like a mad man it can easily reach the $35 mark.

One time I had a little asian guy take me from the Bellagio to the Venetian and it costed $6 (over $3 was the flag pull). He scared the shit out of me on every turn, which was all 2 of em!
