Help me have my first profitable season ever. I can do well with my picks but I always end up betting TOO MANY games, tailing idiots, increasing bet size, and betting my entire roll every day.
I need to learn Bankroll Management.

#2Do the opposite of what you just said. Not trying to sound like a smart ass but discipline must be learned from within.Comment -

#4Set your own parameters and follow them. Try something like no
More than 3 plays a day risking 3% each game. Find what works for you and stick with itComment -

#5FWIW, its a lesson that most of us (me included) have to learn more than 1 time.
As others have stated, you'll have to find what works for you. No more than X bets a day or whatever...

#6Don't think of the bet sizes in terms of actual cash...think units. This helps take some of the emotion out of for me. Structure it like 1 Unit ($100) for the pretty confident games... 1/2 Unit ($50) for the good bu not great...and for the 'no doubters' that you cap..you can go 3-5 Units max. But never...i mean never put entire roll on one game. Sure you've heard this option before...but with anything...stick to the fundamentals and the rest will take care of itself over time. Good luck...although I'm pulling for Southern Miss to take out your Pirates this seasonComment -

#7What is 2% of your bankroll? this is your standard unit
Bet 1-3 units per play depending on the strength of the play
Never go All in as no game is a 100% winner
Dont Chase, if you lose one night brush it off and wait until the next day, dont bet something to make up for losses
no more then x bets per day is not a rule you need to follow, if you think you have an edge in 10 games bet themComment -

#8It won't be hard for So. Miss to do so this year considering we're returning the least players in the entire nation and also lost a hell of a coach to So. Fla. But I'll still be cheering for a Pirates victory just like it's any other year.Comment -

#10Chasing is by far the biggest battle I have had to deal/cope with. It can be a killer. BM is definately a "learned' behavior.Comment -

You know the problems but at this point do not seem to have the discipline to make changes...so quit...
If you ever plan on winning all the bolded areas must stop immediately...otherwise continue to fund your books...
It was not the easiest thing for me to do either but took several years to get it down...
#1 You said you are betting to many games... Set a limit each week...anytime you pass that limit you already deserve to lose...
#2 You say you tail idiots...the forum is full of them...odd for you to say this if your own picks "do well" as you say... I think I remember you from college football and you were pretty good...
#3 Increasing bet size...very simple set caps or limits on say every three games...(total amount wagered not to win).
#4 Betting your entire bankroll...I hate to say it but anytime I see all in...win or lose...I think loser...that has to end immediately... If your bankroll is so small maybe you should not be gambling at all...
Take all the above in a constuctive manner and make something of it...Comment -

#14Bet a percentage of your bankroll on all your plays. 1-5 units (100 unit bankroll). Adjust to wins and losses after each day.Comment -

#17MJ your a compulsive gambler like the rest of us
In order to win you can only bet a max of 3 bets per week and bet the same amount each game but you or I are not going to do that
We like losing , winning actually is not funComment -
