    Trying to recover
Guys, I suffered a devastating loss yesterday, LA Sparks had possession with 1.1 sec left being down 1 point, and they scored with 1.1 sec left and puckin' killed me a parlay of almost $8000. It was the last game I need it in order to win, I had Min to win for a lousy 1.34 odds. Only now, almost 20 hours later, I'm starting to get over this loss. I risked just $5 so I didn't lost much, but the potential win was so great, and so close... It hurts more then losing $1000 cash.

$5 parlay for $8000? and ouch.

Post ticket, cause that's like a 15 teamer of -110s...

i once had $100 to win 70k lost by one game on a 15 teamer, it makes me sick because I never should of took that game, I had Florida St. -2.5 against GTech and by the end of the year Tech was in a BCS bowl and FSU 6-6.

If you bet long enough and play pars, its only a matter of time until that almost great payout comes along and falls short by 1 team, makes you sick, especially when its a ML fav to close it out. I feel your pain maersksealand and have been there several times before, whether its the last leg or with a team on the final possession ruining a great payout, its tough to digest and forget. It doesn't make it that much easier but if you can't get it off your mind just keep reminding yourself it was only a $5 investment. Hope you hit a big one in the coming weeks to forget about this one.

Sorry to hear, t just makes us think of the times when we actually need that basket in the last 1.1 seconds, and we never get it The gambling gods can be cruel sometimes.

3 weeks ago, I did a $5 lottery ticket parlay of 12 teams- would of paid 24K, I lost with Oakland as I took them on the runline instead of the moneyline. Oakland only won the game by 1 run, if I only took them on the m/l it still would of paid over 8k also.

The worst bad beat of my life was in 2008, missing out on 14 team lottery parlay that would of paid more than 130K. I needed the Yankees -1.5 against Boston. The Yankees are up 4-2 and Boston is batting in the bottom of the 9th with a man on first with 2 outs, two strikes on the batter. BAM a homerun to tie and then Boston goes on to win in extra innings 5-4.

One day the stars will align and we'll hit one of these bankroll changers

I feel for you. At least you weren't out too much money, but I can understand the "what ifs" going through your head right now.

I might not ever hit a big parlay, but I have no doubt if I did get really lucky, I would get paid. I don't play at sht books.

                          Tough break

It always seem all these are just misses, rarely do any of us convert a big parlay although you better off doing this than betting $100 on each side.
