In preseason I like to take teams that have a battle for the starting QB - Both QBs motivated - Not many this year

It used to be that you could just bet the Unders blindly, but books caught on and have now lowered the totals. The Under was 8-0 in Week 1 last year in games with totals of 36.5 or more, so naturally there are no 36.5s this year.
