I haven't seen it for 20 some years.Its got to be the most realistic and gruesome prison movie of all time.It makes a person think you would have to be out of your mind to want to be in 90% of foreign countries.Dumb ass parents who want to let their kids discover themselves by going to those places like Turkey.Same for the service where guys come back all messed up in the head from the middle east.We just had a cop shoot a young kid that was behaving badly getting in a fight with his parents and busting the window on the parents car and then taking a bat to the passenger window on the cop car.Any money the cop had a flashback because he was in Iraq for 2 years recently.The situation got overblown and there were ways around having to shoot the idiot kid.
The characters in the movie reminded me of the SBR posters that are held captive relentlessly posting here with no hope of getting out into the real world.hehe!
