Seems like casino is out. Vegas lacks any kind of manufacturing or industry to speak of.

How would driving a cab be these days, Fishhead ? Is there any money in it ?

CAB companies in Vegas have better medical beneifits and retirement programs than half the casinos in the city.

The CAB BUSINESS is one of the greatest MOB operated bussinesses in the city.

What is a day in the life of an LV cabbie like, FH ?

What are the requirements ? I'll have a 100% clean driving record for 7+ years once I get there, not even a parking ticket. Last offense being a DUI about nov 2003. Do they go back beyond 7 years ?

I'm too old for construction ( not that there is any), no degrees....kinda ******, like BTJ !

Pretty much have given up hopes of winning at gambling, YES !

Can't play BJ much anymore, at least not like in 80's, 90's.

I can't win at sports anymore. My game was reliant on Neteller, bonuses, correlated parlays ( big time), winning good contests, stuff like that.

In Vegas I'd be dumpster diving like FH for Matchplay coupons if I was to do much of anything casino wise. I'm sure I'd pick off a few things like +EV parlay cards and the occasional great +EV video poker thing. I'm really more looking at Vegas as a familiar place ( almost home) that has nice weather, few insects, cheap living, great entertainment and dining, close to SD, etc.

I accept that a SHIT job goes with it.

Everything good about sportsbetting has been gone for a few years. I could work on my poker game in LV, too !

There are really only two books left worth playing at for me

                        Matchbook
                        5Dimes

every other one is a waste of time without Neteller.

Doug, you said before you haven't worked in a few years? How come, did you get hurt or something?
What have you done other than construction?

maybe try to hook up as a runner or something for a syndicate or group. You could get paid cash

I didn't need to work 4-7 years ago when I could beat the books.

My work history is unexciting..... retail, sales, HVAC installation ( about 8 years), some plant-based material sales , bartending, condo maintenace, self-employed lawn mower, USPS ( 5+ years), gambling

I'm probably unemployable after quitting the Post office or even having worked there.

Too old to be ******* around with extension ladders and such. I'd like to deal (cards) even went to school for it, but a bartending job fell in my lap instead. No casino work now.....

Shit I'll drive a cab or shuttle bus....if I can get the job.

Something illegal becomes a possibility as well. I have an offer to work for a bookie in another part of the country for good money, but I hate the city I'd have to go to.
