If you're alluding to my thread, you've mischaracterized the proposition. You failed to mention the 10 point advantage and it wasn't "knew nothing about" it was "had no opinion on". I'll explain the difference because I know you'll be asking. I know nothing about cricket or the scoring or the teams. I know about the NFL and the relative strengths of each team. I know how the game is scored. I know how the lines are set. I know I know I know. However, that doesn't mean I have an opinion on each and every game. Did you get over your tantrum from the other day?

which do you think you have a better chance of picking ats right:

a game you know nothing about

          or

a game you have no opinion on

assuming both have 2 teams and lines set accordingly by a bookmaker

No attempt to pay you? Go back to the thread and look at the deal. Actually it would be much more fun to prove you right as I could spend hours watching you post thread after thread about getting stiffed out of 160...points...not dollars but points. Oh the fun I would have.

If you know nothing about a sport and the teams it is therefore impossible to manufacture an opinion. Here it is, let's say the two best teams in the NFL this year are in the superbowl and it's a pickem. You can't decide and therefore have no opinion. Now let's say I make Team A the favorite by 100 points. Do you now have an opinion?

Lets say in the sport you know nothing about, cricket in your example. It was a pickem and now team A is favored by 100 points. Do you have an opinion now?

No because maybe 100 points in cricket is no more than an extra point in football. Impossible for me to tell as I am not acquainted with the sport.

You are too lazy to look up average cricket scores if I give you 100 points?

If I look up the average cricket scores then your original premise is no longer vaild because it states it must be "a game I know nothing about." If I look up the scores then I will know about it won't I? This is what you get when you try to have a discussion with a Dummy.

I know you sit clicking refresh every second, but i actually have other things to do as well

even if you could not look up 1 other score, are you saying that when you know for a fact a line is off, even if its a game you know nothing about, you still won't bet it? maybe thats why you aren't an SBR Pro

How do I know it's off? You gave me 100 points. Does that make it a just a little off or a lot off? There is no way to know if I dont know anything about the game. I know in your little mind that one hundred is a great biiiiiiiiiiiiiig number and that should make it obvious. Well it doesn't liver lips. If I didn't know what an election was and you told me that you would give me a 100 vote advantage no matter which presidential candidate I chose, would that make a difference? Well, there has never been a presidential elction decided by 100 votes or less and it wouldn't mean a thing. You Dummy, I'm arguing with you because it astounds me that even you cannot wrap your brain around my initial question. And then for you to come up with the "I'm too lazy to look up cricket scores" which would indeed invalidate your premise.....well, eh. In a battle of wits you bring an accordion to a gun fight.

You must like reading what you type. You type half of an answer and half of an attack on a person. Its pretty obvious from YOUR thread you had no clue what you were talking about because you went back and forth 3 times.

How do you know its off? We just said the line opened at pick and now is 100 points off. Here, let me yell the rest so you can understand better: Fact is, if the true line is a pick'em and you give it to me with no vig AND 100 points, no matter what I will gladly take that. Its up to the own person to guess how much +EV it is but it obviously is atleast a little. Who wouldn't bet it?

If you had written your initial question is a common sense manner, none of this would have occurred.

By the way, how is that Carib gig coming along?

Wow...after all this you are still clueless. Ok, you're beyond help. Sorry can't help you. Your mother may love you...and clothe you...clean your basement...and put a roof over your head...and feed you....but the rest of us think you're stunted to put it nicely. And the Carib gig was offered and I refused this year as I have my own site and chose to work on that exclusively. But thanks for asking. I don't know if they'll be doing any trivia this year but that would be a golden opportunity for you to get something for nothing and then bitch about it. CSR had a good laugh about that one.

you know what i really find hilarious. it's all you people that actually think you have an advantage because you know something..

when is everyone here going to realize that in this business, knowing info about a game is NOT going to help you one bit.. do you guys think you really know something more than 200 pro oddsmakers who have put in tons and tons of research on it??

Boys, the more you know, the less successful you are...Take it from all my buddies who can name you every player in sports and their stats from when they played college, pros, etc... These guys are all broke from gambling.

boys, that is why there's a line there.. all the info you have is already applied into the line. It doesn't matter what you know.. it won't help.

Don't believe me?? try it yourself.. bet 1000 games on your own.. keep track.. then flip a coin 1000 times and you'll see the result will be practically identical..

The only way you will beat this game is if you consistently beat the closing #....not by trying to handicap winners..

Seems odd.. you have a website with your picks and stuff.. you come on here to get points to blow in the casino yet you can't even go through a simple verification process to get double points?

I will say, good job on giving points away though when you got to 20k. No other fukkers gave points away when they got high and i think biggie even purchased a computer from the winnings of the points you gave him

when is everyone here going to realize that in this business, knowing info about a game is NOT going to help you one bit.. do you guys think you really know something more than 200 pro oddsmakers who have put in tons and tons of research on it??

Boys, the more you know, the less successful you are...Take it from all my buddies who can name you every player in sports and their stats from when they played college, pros, etc... These guys are all broke from gambling.

boys, that is why there's a line there.. all the info you have is already applied into the line. It doesn't matter what you know.. it won't help.

Don't believe me?? try it yourself.. bet 1000 games on your own.. keep track.. then flip a coin 1000 times and you'll see the result will be practically identical..

The only way you will beat this game is if you consistently beat the closing #....not by trying to handicap winners..

nicky thats my point, when they give you an advantage in a line AND no vig you have to take it no matter what you know or dont know about the sport

I will say, good job on giving points away though when you got to 20k. No other fukkers gave points away when they got high and i think biggie even purchased a computer from the winnings of the points you gave him

if everyone here at sbr did this, books would be out of business because there'd be no losers here.. but unfortunately, we still have people who really think they will win money cause the Yanks are great at home, and they'll lay -240 on it....

if a game is -110/even and you find a +106, take dog.. if you find a -103, take fav.. no matter who is playing.. don't have an opinion, just follow this rule....

if every gambler did this, they'd do well.. but unfortunately, they don't...they will take the team they like at any price..
