#53ok, starting this thread back up, entering 1991.
1991 was by my definition the most IMPORTANT musical year in the last 30...
It started off well, with a highly anticipated concert in RIO, Rock in Rio
BIG debut single from the most anticipated album in many years, Use your Illusion in early June on the Terminator 2 Sound Track

#54Later that summer there was a huge album that i listened to very frequently, Skid Row and Slave to the Grind
The lead single was "Monkey Business"
Slave to the Grind is notable for being the first heavy metal album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200Comment -

#55As the summer rolled on, More HUGE albums came out, none bigger than Metallica's Black album
and Red Hot Chili Peppers Blood Sugar Sex Magik, under the bridge was monstrous and very influential that summer

#57The Pixies released their last full length album in 1991. Here's a lesser known song from that album that I've always really liked. Give it a listen... the whole thing... you'll love it!

#621992, another Critically GREAT year for rock music. This is where it really took off for me.
i distinctly remember this one song to start the year, yeah its a little soft for me, but the song still remains one of the best i've ever heard Clapton do, and the movie is a GEM! Rush and Tears in Heaven, Minet would agree!

#63The Black Crowes really stepped it up in 1992 with their 2nd album, The Southern Harmony and Musical Companion, That album was a huge hit and had 3 or 4 songs on it that i listen to today..a sample of one of the best "Remedy"

#64Then in 1992, this one song came along and really directed my musical tastes going forward till this day, its hard to point to one song, but this hit by Temple of the Dog "Hunger Strike" just shifted my focus to Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana, ETC forever after..
Never get tired of this one, or "Say hello 2 Heaven", but this was their breakthrough.Comment -

#67Alice in Chains "Dirt" was probably my favorite album of all of 1992. Most everyone knows the song Rooster and everyone should. But one of my favorite songs on the whole CD was the last track. Here it is:
