Nevada and the city of Vegas itself have some of the worst unemployment rates in the country right now. Having said that, if your skills are of high quality, you can get a job anywhere.

For the 393th time.........the HOT SUMMERS are HUGELY OVERRATED as a negative.

There only a few days in the summer where I would not consider WALKING 18 holes carrying clubs.......and I'm 50 years old.

BASCIALLY THE HEAT IS A NON-FACTOR.........BUT I do realize people do not handle it as well as me or lots of others.

Pull the trigger now Fisher. Don't miss out on the best time of the year, football season. Just think about how great this town is this time of the year, don't miss out on that!!!

I just told the wife last night we are going to have to talk you into moving when you come out for the bash. I told her you are leaning hard but need pushed just one last time.

Is Billsfan coming out with you to the bash? If so I told the wife her job is getting Billsey on board quickly and I got you (which shouldn't be a problem, IMO).

I told many people before I left town that the main reason for my move out to LV was so I could be around the many others who are just like myself. You can almost feed off that in this town. I actually need it to be a better sports bettor, IMO.

I was just in the Red Rock the other day when looking for homes and what was suppose to be a 20 minute quick bite to eat by myself ended up being an hour and a half of me talking it up with the others that do this at a semi-serious level. Just exchanging information, comparing "war" stories, etc.... I feel I really need that to keep me going at times and you just can't get that when living in Michigan or anywhere else. When you tell people you bet on sports in those places they look at you like your an alien. It's just an accpeted way of life in LV.

It's not talking to people so I can hear who they like in the Twins game but it's more about knowing that there are other people out there going through the same daily battles that I am going through. Just talking to them motivates me, inspires me and overall just gives you this feeling your not alone in this, that many others are out there doing the same thing. Seeing and hearing how others work helps give me confidence that if they can do it then so can I. Kind of hard to explain but that to me is the thing I most enjoy about being in LV, even more so then the actually gambling I think. I look forward to doing a lot more of it in the future.

Lastly talking to and getting to know others also leads to eventually meeting more people and believe me without going too far into detail, networking is HUGE in this game for various reasons.

So true buddy. Just live anywhere outside of where you grew up I say.

I can't get over how many people i know who are still living in the same place/area that they were born. Many of my friends and parents included. Not saying its a bad thing as I did it myself for years, just mad at myself for never getting out and seeing what else is out there.

So many different places one can live and you only have one life to do it in. Am already looking at thinkng where my next move will be.

It's so true. The thing is how did our grandparents or even great grandparents do this 100 years or so ago? No internet, no money, etc... Most just went off what they heard form others or read about out of a book. Now that would be scary. Have to give them a lot of credit.

The funny thing is many of these people back then just plopped down in a certain location and now dozens of their offspring, some 100 years later, still live in that same exact area.

There only a few days in the summer where I would not consider WALKING 18 holes carrying clubs.......and I'm 50 years old.

BASCIALLY THE HEAT IS A NON-FACTOR.........BUT I do realize people do not handle it as well as me or lots of others.

Agreed, but why the hell are you ever outside for more then 10 min at a time? I go there in July, August, and never go outside for long.
