His speech was awful, I hate when people read from a teleprompter or notes & put no emotion in it, just like they are reading. He sounded like a 3rd grader reading a book report.

Emmitt on the other hand, no notes, no nuthin! Class act

AMEN, Jerry Rice is my all time favorite athlete...def. didn't do a good job with his speech, but shiiiit he was paid to catch footballs. As for tooting his own horn, I would argue he earned the right...especially on the day he's inducted.

Smith's speech was incredible. He forgot to mention his days at UF. Notes might have helped there.

Is it just me or does Rice look Sick? He is so thin, I know he likes to work out and stay in shape, but damm he is thin. Thats why his ring is on his middle finger.

He may not be the best speaker, but contrary to what someone else said in this thread - Jerry certainly does have class. Jerry was the hardest working guy in pro football and a total class act.
