You realized we had a server communication glitch during an update where you could move points that you didnt have from the forum (1744 of them over 20 transfers) to the SBR sportsbook and then put them in your SBR points wallet. Unlike some others who found this and played them away, you went directly to the store for $250 cash.

Maybe the posters can eventually decide when he's back. I wouldn't be as happy to have you back. Stealing $250 and thousands of points really takes them away from your fellow posters. Too bad, it sounds like you were a good poster and we would have given you points for the headsup.

Was 2daBank given the opportunity to tell his side of what had happened?

Its seems if the purchase he made in the SBR store was bought with the points that he had fairly won in the casino, then there really isn't any crime, as long as the points he erroneously received are given back. When a bank accidentally puts extra cash in someones bank account and the account holder withdrawals it out of the ATM machine, that in itself is not a criminal act. Of course, he has to give the money back, but that is all. I'm not sure how many points he owes, but couldn't he just pay the points back in payments with his future points?

It's about time you got a reward for your honesty. I remember your thread when you posted SBR's mistake. I remember even posting that I'm sure a Mod would think you did the right thing by giving them the heads up and throw a few points your way as a thank you gesture for being honest. But it didn't work that way, did it? It took you mentioning it AGAIN (and looking a little desperate in the process) for you to receive those goodwill points.

And that's what it comes down to. Yes Banker received extra points from a glitch and acted inappropriately with them. Whether he pissed them away in the casino or bought something from the store makes no difference. He took advantage of a computer error on SBR's part and that's just wrong.

However Bill, please don't say he 'would've been given points for the headsup'. While the thought is lovely and I understand your motivation in saying that is to encourage others to do the right thing if/when they're in a similar situation, the simple fact is that this is not how things work around here. I've seen many posters volunteer info on off lines, etc... and for the most part they haven't been 'rewarded' for their honesty at all. The few that have had to pull a 'will2survive' and throw it in someone's face again for their act to be acknowledged. And while we can say that the poster should be satisfied in the fact that they did the right thing, let's not try to church things up here. Being honest at SBR, especially through the point system, is not really the great incentive that you're making it out to be.

A lot of people say things in the heat of an altercation that they wouldn't normally or really mean to say. We shouldn't judge him just by this one incident, we should look at his total contributions here at SBR.
