#6Wow. I guessing none of you live in Vegas.
You are allowed Cellphones like any other public place, but you just cant use it while placing a bet.
I use my laptop at the sportsbook everyday. Its not illiegal, or prohibited. Though what some sportsbooks do is have technology that blocks electronic signals. So when you sit down in the sportsbook your phone has no signal, and you cant use your wireless internet service.Comment -

#12the reason I ask about laptops is because I want to run some programs that I have for horse racing on a laptop and its easier to have them on a laptop than printing all of it off.I will not be placing wagers on my laptop.Comment -

#19Wynn, Caesars, Rio all have signs up saying "no laptops in the sportsbook".
Venetian told Tomato to put his laptop away or leave, Palazzo didn't care though.
Hilton doesn't care (obviously). Don't quite remember MGM's policy.
Stations casinos (GVR, Red Rock) didn't have a sign up but I don't think they'll like it.Comment -

#20They changed this law a few years ago and they now allow both in the SB. Lots of guys walk around with cellphones in there, that isnt an issue. Now you might catch some grief if you are standing at thw window with either one.Comment -

#22You're not allowed any laptop or cell phones in the sportsbook areas....the entire place is wired with video cameras and you're being watched like the North Korean DMZ....anyone who tells you otherwise hasn't or doesn't live in the area.
pavy nailed it...if you've got a room...problem solved. You'll find beards hanging around making bets with phones outside the book area.Comment -

#24Last 2 times I was at Palazzo, there was no problem using a laptop. Of course, I was actually betting with Palazzo, not just sitting there.Comment -

#25What books in vegas don't block the signals and allow the use of laptops? Anyone do this regularly?
It's not a big deal if you have a room there to just handle your business in the room but it would be good to know which sportsbooks you can sit down in and use the laptop.Comment -
