Best Scam as a Kid!

I was reading the Ebay scam when I thought of the best scam from back when I was a kid.

I went a local Video Store and rented




Once I had the game I would open it up using a screwdriver and remove the Tecmo Super Bowl Rom.

I would then take Mario Brothers or Duck Hunt and open it up


Once they both were open I would swap out the games and BOOM I had Tecmo Super Bowl.

I did this with 5 or 6 games and the store never caught on!

Would it be smart if, after swapping the Rom's, you took the game back to the store and said "WTF?? This is duckhunt, not tecmo bowl!!!" The renter before you would be suspect. If the renter *after* you does this, you are the prime suspect, no? Long as you're a good actor and won't budge. Heh

I suppose the reason it works is because they have multiple copies of the games. Otherwise I don't see how it could work.

That is a great idea. I guess i wasn't up to pure scam level.
