Well I just filed a complaint with SBR. Hopefully something positive will come from this. I believe I will eventually get paid as I've never got screwed from these people. However, it's very unsettling that they can't provide me with shipping information as they always had in the past. Something clearly is wrong. Plus, they don't respond in a timely manner to emails and have no phones. Simply not a wise idea to keep money with these people until they change their operation. However, I do love their lines and that's what's always kept me a customer.Comment -

I just tried the chat line one more time. All I can tell you of that conversation is that I feel less intelligent now having spoken with whoever was on the other end. It is truly a waste of time. I was told that I would have my check in 48 hours. When I asked what courier they used, I was told "cashier's check". Great answer. I just gave up and logged-off. I believe, as you all do, that the money will come someday. Maybe in time for bowl season 2008. The only sure thing is that the chat line is not a sure thing. Don't waste your time on it. FYI, I got a response from email on Christmas. In fact it was an email from a rep who I interacted with during a recent online chat. support@sportsbetting.com is the same as the online chat. Don't let them fool you.Comment -
also, I should add that I believe their customer service reps are working in Bangalore, India for a dime on the dollar. I actually feel bad for them because they're only reading off a screen. They must be bombarded with irate customers like you and I. I have this image of all of them wearing a wrist band full of canned responses to every scenario. Those people have no idea what's going on. Plus, if you really think anyone working in India is named Chris Campbell, Roger Brown or Nee White then think again.Comment -
i was thinkin they would be locals from the carribean that didnt know any english and they had a special program that hi-lights key words and they answer to whatever those key words say.
for example "when will my payment arrive" it would hilite when payment arrive and presto automatic "please wait 7-10 days for payment"Comment -
well, one of the reps told me they're in India. I then asked Bangalore, India and he didn't answer. They're working over there for no money. Trust me, those aren't their real names. Too many names ending in Brown, White etc. IF they're from India we would be conversing with Patel.Comment -
Yeah. On my chat before my most recent one, I got mad at the guy and gave him about a half page rant on the whole ordeal. His response was: "is there anything else I can help you with?" How do you respond to that? You can't. I just hung up again. Actually, it's a brilliant customer service approach. Befuddle the customer with stupidity and confusion until they give up.Comment -
I can assure you these people hate doing their job. Wouldn't you? I honestly believe they're trying so hard to make the customer not feel helpless but deep down they know there isn't anything they can do or say to change the way we feel. The most unfortunate thing about this situation is we the customer wasn't given any notice that they were going to be without phones. If I knew that I never would've kept my money in this book. Tonight I was promised a tracking number tomorrow and phones will be up and running by the end of the week.
I told the guy I would like to make a three team parlay.
a. I wouldn't get my check before 1/1/08
b. There would be no phones before 1/1/08
c. I won't receive a tracking number before 1/1/08
I asked him if he could email the oddsmaker to custom make a bet especially for me.

There are confirmed payouts through December. I think as long as they stay with it (don't decide to sell the site) everyone will be paid as they get caught up. The book has been around a long time, has been profitable, and has a lot invested in a good url. Hopefully they can get it together and show Sportsbook.com how it's done. Here is my situation with sportsbetting.com. Requested 5 separate withdrawals on Dec 8 9 and 10th. Received 3 of them in a timely fashion (within 3 days) and two now I have been waiting for for almost three weeks. I dont understand this at all. Anyone have any explanations let me knowComment -
I'm experiencing the same problems with Sportsbook.com. I withdrew 350 dollars on December 10th. It was my first withdrawal from them and I chose to do the e-check method. Little did I know that I needed to send in a copy voided check. Around the 15th I sent them a copied bank statement which one of their customer service reps told me I could do because I went on the live chat to find out what the hold up was. Around the 20th there was still no change to my withdrawal so I went on live chat again and was told it needed to be a voided check. I sent one of those to them and it was verified finally the next day. I'm still sitting around twiddling my thumbs waiting for this money though. They said it would be processed on either the 26th or 27th and it still hasn't even been processed.Comment -

Well I can report I finally received my check.

Clearly their computer system is a mess. They told me on numerous occasions my check had been sent on 12/7/07 via Fed Ex (signature required)
The check just arrived via UPS (NEXT Day AIR) - In other words it was just sent yesterday.

I suggest you should call these people rather than waste your time with a customer service team which doens't have accurate info. Like I said, those people running live chat must hate their job because deep down I think they know they don't have any real info to pass on to the customer.

Good catch by BigBoyDan in editing out that shipper's address. Christ, Crinkle and others, calm the hell down. You think your the only one waiting for a few dollars here and yours is the most crucial thing in the world? Have you heard by chance that the US government has cracked down and deemed offshore gamblling illegal and a couple of agents looking for something to do over the holidays would love to show up at an address that was fed to them. They've always paid , sometimes it just takes a bit longer. SBR spelled out that they just revamped their customer service structure. Too bad for you the amount of time you've spent worrying, banging your head against the wall and not speeding up the process at all. Rookie days- I've been there.Comment -

Yes. A few payouts were confirmed today. I asked most of the players waiting over two weeks to give it until Monday evening. Some of these players were told it was sent but processing time is beyond what the book is quoting. We are keeping an eye on this and will let you know if there is further backlog or if this is just the way month #1 is going to go after the transition.Comment -
I got my check today too. Tis the season of miracles. It looks like everything from the first week of December was delayed for some reason. That was right after they dropped Jazette wasn't it?
