We have to admit that the vast majority of football fans
believe the deciding factor pertaining to a QB's greatness
is ...........the number of Super Bowls he has won...
Forget records....Tarkenton, Marino and Favre have the majority
of QB records...but there is only 1 Super Bowl won by that group..
------------------
There have been 44 Super Bowls....
won by
4 wins Terry Bradshaw
4 wins Joe Montana
3 wins Troy Aikman
3 wins Tom Brady
2 wins John Elway
2 wins Ben Roethlisberger
2 wins Bob Griese
2 wins Jim Plunkett
2 wins Roger Staubach
2 wins Bart Starr
Brett Favre has won 1 Super Bowl...so essentially
he is mired in a vast group of 17 other 1 Super Bowl
game winners..
Is that Greatness...
The last 3 NFC Championship games for Favre have been total disaster..
At Philadelphia....in OT...he throws a ridiculously ill conceived pass to
the only player that could catch it....an Eagle safety..and Eagles Win..
At his own fabled Frozen Tundra of Lambeau Field...against a team who
has just won 3 road games in the playoffs...hard to win 4...But leave
it to Favre...in OT ..he throws another stupid interception and Giants Win!
And just last year,,,he teases again.....Driving for a winning FG in the
NFC Title game....he throws an unbelievable archaic cross body pass
and the Saints easily pick it off...and win in OT...
Is this Greatness ??
I have always hated the Green Bay Packers ....and if it was late in a game
that they could win....more times than not....I knew Farve would do something
stupid...and cost them the game..
Look at Favre..in playoff games....have you ever seen a QB fumble as much
as he does to lose critical games..remember the Ram playoff game..
Favre has longevity...has records ...has what 17 other QB's have...he has 1 Super
Bowl win.....
But as far as I am concerned...he was just a bafflin, bumblin, buffoon hillybilly..
He lost just as many big games as he won.....he was just like a ticking time bomb,
you knew it was just a matter of time before he would disintegrate..
I just hope now....he just stays retired....
Favre.....slightly above average quarterback with records that are just for show.
