Bellwether stock Procter&gamble sliding,Who buys inflated name brand stuff anymore?
Today Procter and Gamble reported a not so good quarterly earnings report.Wall Street hypes companies like Procter and gamble because they feel they are a key indicator to guage economic prosperity. I know they make good products just as icons Johnson and Johnson and Kellog's do but the average struggling family can save tons of money every month by not buying these companies hyper inflated suggested retail price products. You can get house brand or dollar store similar products for 1/4th the cost.Has anyone been on to this way of thinking where you laugh when you see someone you know isn't rich at the super market checkout line where they pay $200 for 3 or 4 measely bags of name brand stuff that's worth $50.

Just think of all the cost cutting measures a person can make to free up expendable income to gamble with while not suffering any quality of life loss?Women are always ragging on their husbands if they plunk $10 on a weekly office pool square but no one ever says to them that they are lousy consumers that just throw money away at the grocery store.

With the condition the economy is in,you would think companies like Procter and Gamble would become worthless penny stocks.People just have to have their name brand products even if they are broke.
