I am hoping that one of you drunks do this little experiment and report back. I could save myself some money if this really works.

I can vouch for this one. I make homemade limoncello and I always filter the alcohol first with a brita pitcher. There is a very noticeable difference if I skip the filtering step. It makes for a much smoother end product.

There's a simple way to give some hint of flavor to vodka, I've done it and it works

                    You need:

1 bottle of vodka, preferrably triple destilled, if not available, anyother will work just fine
1 US gal Glass Jar, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to find something else if you don't have it.
1 fresh citric, if it's tangerine you want to use, you may want to use a couple of them
Some thread and a knitting needle
Dark coloured plastic bag (preferably made of thick plastic)

Place the vodka in the jar that's been previosuly scalded and disinfected.
With the knitting needle, pierce the citric fruit right through the middle and drive some thread to the other side so you can leave it hanging inside the jar by the help of the thread.
Tie the thread on the neck of the jar with the fruit in the middle so it's kept about halfway between the top of the jar and the vodka
Close the jar (if it has a cap) or just cover it with the dark coloured plastic bag and make sure you've hermitized the jar as much as possible so that nothing comes out nor in it. This is a very crucial step.
Let it sit for 1 week
When you come back you'll see the fruit is wrinkled and has lost about all of it's colour, all the essential oils on it's zest has volatilized into the container and sit afterwards in the vodka, allowing this to acquire that certain flavour of that certain fruit. This process is know as Saturated atmosphere infusion and it's so basic anyone can do it.
Add some carbonated water, ice and a little bit of the fruit's juice (a fresh one) and voila! One of the best vodka drinks you've ever had.
I always have some of this vodka at my place and everyone loves it

I hope you enjoy this little experiment

                      fuk i love vodka

enjoyin' some Ketel One on the rocks

but if you really need to make your cheap vodka better, drop some Kahlua knock-off shit in that fukker

if you don't know about Black Russians (not the mongrel race per Obama) but the drinks, grow some fukkin balls and take that shit to the face.

Any mixer with a strong flavor will kill the taste of a bad vodka. But if you enjoy your vodka on the rocks, then you definitely need to buy the more expensive stuff. That is of course unless this Brita Filtering works. I am waiting for one of you kids to test it out and report back.

                            actually this was on mythbusters.

they themselves tried it and also had an expert.

                            he picked the exact order:
                            ex. control
                            1 filtration
                            2 filtrations
                            so on
                            and then the expensive one

he said it does help with each filtration but no way in hell it becomes something great

Buy 10 bottles of cheap vodka and one bottle of expensive vodka. Drink the expensive vodka first. Then refill with the cheap vodka.

Pavy is onto something here because after a few drinks, drunks dont care what their drinks taste like anymore. They wont know it's the cheap shit.
