Best eatery near a major football or baseball stadium.Valentino's buffet,Lincoln,Nebr
People rate plastic and foo foo powder fake model women here so why not rate restaurants near stadiums and arenas on the college and pro level.

I have tried a few eateries near stadiums and arenas throughout the country but hands down, the best is a place called Valentino's,a stone's throw from the University of Nebraska football stadium. It's the best Italian buffet on the planet for about $8.Nothing fancy but it beats all the hoity toity yuppie places the bigshots in sports probably spend $200 a plate at and not get filled up.

If I were a coach for Nebraska on a recruiting get together on campus,I would take the kid to Valentino's instead of lining him up with flashy broads to show him around. If I were a recruit,I would pick Nebraska over other schools just because Valentino's is there. They grew into a chain now throughout that area of the country so hopefuly they will go national in the future. www.valentinos.com Something tells me that Larry the cable guy eats there when he's in town for a game.hehe!Man that guy with his turd cutter language is revolting at times!

Has anyone tried that Cici's Italian buffet they advertise for being under $5 on t.v.?Any good?

If this thread gets 100 replies, there will be 100 different answers.

The real answer: No such thing as an exclusive "best" restaurant. It's all opinion.

I wouldn't really call any of those close. The closest is Tony Luke' s, and even that's about a mile and a half from the stadium complex.

In the old Astrodome days, we used to start off at Cap'n Benny's Oyster Bar on South Main about a mile west of the Astrodome. And I can't go to a Texas Aggie football game without stopping in the Dixie Chicken for a Deathburger and a cold Lone Star longneck.

There's also a little joint not far from Heinz and PNC Park in Pittsburgh, can't recall the name of it, but it's in the lower part of the Clark Building, and it's a neat spot. Maybe sportsgirl or someone else here from Pittsburgh will know it.

              Primanti Bros.?

If not, it's still a great eatery in dahntahn Pittsbugh

The First Primanti Bros. Restaurant wasn’t a restaurant at all. It was a cart. That’s how we started. Awesome, right?

I love Primanti's, but that's not it. Did a quick search on the Clark Building, but didn't see a bar/cafe listed for it. I just remember stumbling across under the freeway from Heinz after an A&M-Pitt football game in the afternoon, then stumbling back across to PNC for a Pirates game that night.
