The Nugget is a fine place, but why not somewhere on the strip?

If you need cheap rooms for Wednesday,Thursday or Sunday for bash time,go to www.i4vegas.com They have a wide selection of cheap rooms all over the strip and downtown.I'm not fussy and got Wednesday and Thursday night at The El Cortez for a grand total of $31 including tax.The drawback with i4vegas is that you pay up front and you get a partial refund if you back out of staying.

They do it downtown because it is cheaper for the SBR to throw it there rather than on the strip. Nugget isn't bad and I am sure they get a good price...

Gambling is much better downtown than on the strip. Strip is overcrowded with shills hired by the casinos to slow me down.

Poker is way better on the strip, mind you I do like playing at Binions and usually end up getting comp'd a meal or two during my stay.

because SBR made the arrangement and I assume they were able to get a good deal with the Golden Nugget, which is a fine place.

I'm sure SBR won't prevent you from staying at a different hotel if you choose, but of course you'll have to pay for it.

I would like to find out if I could stay Sunday night and then leave on Monday. The airfare seems to be much cheaper for me to leave on Monday.

Been to Vegas dozens of times and have never stayed Downtown before. Everytime I went it seemed dead and the crowd is different from the ones I'm use to.

However, if I were to stay at any hotel Downtown it would be the Golden Nugget.

Cab fare from Downtown to the Strip may cost a small fortune so probably the best thing to do is get that $5 24-hour bus pass. Last time I rode that bus it seemed like it took centuries to get to my destination. They stop at every fukkin stop! I drank a fukkin entire mug of some daquiri contraption from Fat Tuesday waiting on that muthafukka!

$7 for a 24 hour Double Deuce bus pass..we took alot of cabs when we were there back in February..$30 for a cab ride from MGM to downtown..there are many buses and the bus rides are real cheap, but the bus is slow as fvck. IMO always have a car in Vegas..

It is about $25 to the middle of the strip but you can split it. You can have as many as 5 people in a cab
