#15They will postpone the game long before a hurricane makes landfall. It's not like the thing is going to come around the back entrance of the stadium, knock on the door, and yell surprise. A tornado is usually accompanied by lightning.

Any safety or security issue are the only things I can think of that will postpone the game after it starts. I don't believe there has been a game during an earthquake, but that would likely postpone it. Bomb threat, lightning, power outage at night, or something bizarre like an insect infestation.Comment

#16Maybe something like 9/11 unfolding again on a Sunday or a nuke-U- lar strike strike on the US, maybe aliens showing up like in Independence day.Originally posted by daneblazerThey will postpone the game long before a hurricane makes landfall. I think a big earthquake is the most likely thing....gotta get the people outta there safely. Nearly happened with the baseball game missing by a few hours.Comment

ever heard of Oklahoma city and Timmy Mcveigh ?

He was just one guy. Internal terrorism can happen in many ways. What if two nuts got together and one had access to a helicopter. They could fly over a stadium and the non-pilot shoots it up like Rambo, just for example. I think that cancels a game.

Any big crowd is a potential target. Don't discount what can happen from within....9/11 was basically from within, if you think about it.Comment
