Ok, so it's more or less off topic, but after chatting this very topic up with a few pals, I was looking to hear about the experiences of the Esteemed Forumites with respect to the thread topic.
Obviously, one of the worst things you could ever do is to bet after (during) a significant drinking binge, for obvious reasons. I guess chasing bets out of frustration would be the sober equivalent. But.....Has anybody actually done this and have it pay off handsomely, cashing in an amount they would never have had the nerve to even contemplate if they had their head on straight? (From what they recall, of course)
I imagine the ultimate is to get frustrated after a loss, close call, whatever, start boozing up and then decide in a moment of enlightened weakness to throw mega $$$ down on whomever, and then let fate decide.....
Anyway, just thought it would be interesting, if not comical, to hear any tales of woe or glory. Personally, I try not to mix booze and gambling, probably because I had quite a few instances in the past where the more I drank, the greater my certainty that Blackjack could be beaten with whatever sure-fire system I was hopelessly devising.....
