Clinton - not ready for a woman.
Obama - Not ready for black that nobody knows.
        Edwards - too young.
Guiliani- terror nut, will get us into another war soon... shady
Romney- do we want a mormon who flip-flops more than a pair of sandals running our country?
        McCain- no thoughts yet...
Huckabee- Legitimate charm, panders too much to his christian base, some question marks here.
Ron Paul - a dream vote, would clear up so many issues for us and loosen the shackles a little bit from our living room and bank account..no shot of winning

I agree.. You have a woman and a black guy who's middle and last names rhyme with terrorists leading the pact with the Democrats.

Now I have nothing against you two, but if this is the general consensus across the country for those piss-poor reasons, that's pretty sad. These two IMO are def. not the best candidates but for different reasons: they are both on the liberal side, I'm not ready for Bill to be back in the White House, and Obama just has no experience..regardless of what Oprah thinks.

I like the +150 on the Republican party winning the presidency..

Whoever the Democrats choose, I can't see winning. Not Hillary, not Obama, not Edwards, and those are the three biggest players...

I think Huckabee, Guiliani, McCain, Romney would all beat out Hillary. We're not going to have a woman president in office yet in this country, I can just feel it.

I agree Crazy. I'm REALLY beginning to think our next President will be Mike Huckabee. He's conservative enough to take out his Republican foes, yet reasonable enough to take out his potential Democratic opponent. May look into making a play on him as a matter of fact....

As for who I'd like to see win personally, the answer is obviously Ron Paul. He's so well thought out and would make this country substantially more free for all of us, but alas he has no corporate interests and thus gets left out of the spotlight. I'll vote for him regardless, as he's the only candidate that I believe makes my voting time worthwhile...

It's one or two elections too early for a Ron Paul but there is hope IMO. The industries will have a harder and harder time using bought media to convince us that these guys aren't electable.

I agree with Ron Paul on the Constitution, Economy, and Iraq - but I disagree 100% on everything else.

                          Obama '08
He will win Iowa, then NH&SC and then beat the republican party.

I cant see the current crop of Republicans (even the surging Huckabee) winning a general election

Bush has really messed up the Republican party and I cannot see them winning this time around, the Democrats are getting like 3 times the amount of money than the Republicans are. I can see O'Bama winning and I could see Clinton winning also. I think the primaries are going to be very close also.

Yeah, exactly...who would want a person with a diverse ethnic and cultural background who graduated from two Ivy League university and articulates a progressive agenda.

Frankly, I'd prefer a failed businessman whose time in college was considered well below par and whose political experiences came largely by way of his father's name and connections and this individual, preferably, should be able to directly communicate with God about important foreign policy decisions. That's the kind of leader I want and that America needs.....

It's gonna be Hillary, unless she self-destructs, a modest chance of that, but not likely. It won't be Obama, he has no chance this time around, and he knew that from the get-go, he ran for next time. But I would say that right now, of all the candidates' chances of ever being Prez at any time, his I would currently rate as the highest except for Hillary's.

If Hillary self-destructs in the primary, it will be Edwards, and he will steamroll over any Republican. If it's in the general election, we'll have Guiliani, and pray that his maniacal tough-guy schtick is just an act (which I am 99% confident it is.)

Why do you guys bother with all this ? its not like your votes actually make any difference to who wins.

I was actually very impressed with the open fair nature of last weeks elections in Venezuela , I think Chavez should be employed as an overseer , to ensure the US elections do not continue to be rigged.

Your votes dont matter , its just a formality.

I personally like Obama and will probably waste a vote on him. If Americans are stupid enough to elect George W twice then they're stupid enough to avoid voting for someone cause he has a funny name..

All signs point to the dyke winning imo.

I'm surprised the fact that Obama's family is muslim hasn't been more of a topic of conversation?

I'm undecided at this point, but would likely vote for Edwards or Huckabee.

I think the world is ready for a woman - just not that woman. she lost my respect when she remained married to a cheat.

I was actually very impressed with the open fair nature of last weeks elections in Venezuela , I think Chavez should be employed as an overseer , to ensure the US elections do not continue to be rigged.

Your votes dont matter , its just a formality.
I totally agree as I was the first to vote that it's rigged.. I think most have a feeling it is too but I assume they figure if they don't admit it is then it isn't... It also ruins the game/drama that we love so much... It's like finding out pro wrestling is fake... It's never the same and it's not as fun..

We also don't accept it because we don't like the idea that we don't matter not to mention we have nothing better to do...

Please look real closely before you vote for Huck. He's sincere. But he's sincerely a religious wingnut. And, sometimes he is sorely uninformed.

Ron Paul: I like some of his libertarian views (like on internet gambling), but I agree with lakerfan -- we sort of need to finance government.

                                                    Leaning Edwards or Obama.

Not that he would run, but I'd really like to see a guy like Colin Powel in there. He would turn things around.

Powell seems like the most human of them all... If you paid close attention to him during the IRAQ war run up you'll notice he really wasn't down... It seemed like the cabinet alienated him and then he stepped down... I like Powell even though I don't think anyone will make a dfferance...

Powell has too much association with the existing regime, the dems would just show a video of him at the UN in every ad.

No no, Powell would be by far the Republicans' best bet, Powell was completely dissed by the WH specifically for not being a Rove/Cheney/Rummy guy, and he has very publicly apologized for being wrong and representing false information and all of that. Powell would beat Hillary easily, but who knows how he really feels about everything now - does he even still consider himself a Republican?
