Have fallen asleep to this movie 38 nights in row. I play it in the background....has a soothing effect. Some people listen to the sound of waves or feed fish to relax...I play this movie. Just a testament to the brilliance of this film. imo. I've never even placed a bet on horses, yet i think this is my favorite movie ever. I rarely find films where every scene entertains me, this is one of them.

The 4 horse! Nobody bets the 4 horse, Trotter. The 4 horse is a joke. They let little kiddies on the 4 horse to have their picture taken."Comment -

Yeah i love that part....but Cheese changes his mind pretty damn fast when Trotter starts giving out winner after winner. Trotter was the ultimate contrarian gambler in that film. I can talk about that film all day. 5 Million budget on that movie. These days the Director would make that alone.Comment -

#17Def the best gambling movie ever. I love horse racing and this movie nailes all the characters and experiences you would see at the track. The characters are classic...Little tidbid...the guy who plays the teller went on to play Hagrid in the Harry Potter seriesComment -

#22here guys, here is a bunch of quotes from the movie. F'n hilarious!
Marty: Eight's the one, I'd stake my life on it.
Jay Trotter: They've got a $2 minimum bet.
[Watching toteboard go from 40-1 to 8-1]
Looney: Probably some coke deal went nuts again.
Looney: [after Trotter won but Looney didn't even bet] I'd hate to have to walk around this track with seven hundred dollars cash.
Jay Trotter: Seven hundred and TEN - and you'll never have that problem, because the only reason I won is that you didn't bet! You are the unluckiest person in the world!
Looney: Am not!
Jay Trotter: Am!
Looney: Am not!
Jay Trotter: Am!
[pulling out his racing form]
Jay Trotter: Who do you like in the second?
Looney: The six horse looks pretty good...
Jay Trotter: [dramatically crosses out the six horse on his racing form] You got a brother?
Looney: In Cleveland.
Jay Trotter: Call him up, ask him who he likes. I figure it's in the blood!
Jay Trotter: May I... buy you a drink?
Mrs. Davis: I don't see why not. I'm on the pill.Comment -

#33Hey Yanksfan...or anyone that can help too...question that I'd greatly appreciate help on:
First of all I just wanna say THANK YOU so much for taking the time to answer my question! Once again I want to ask a PROFESSIONAL about this that will steer me correctly!
So when should I be re-calculating my unit size? Should I be doing it every day? Every week? Month? Season?
The reason I ask is because I want to know what way of doing it protects my bankroll, but yet allows it to grow the way it should.
I am using 3% as my unit right now and I have lost a large chunk of my bankroll this past week, so I was wondering if I should re-calculate my unit more often so that I don't lose as much during losing streaks?
I just want to know what way will mathematically be better for my bankroll. I understand that if I re-calculate daily, then when I have a losing day, my next day's wagers will be smaller, so it will take longer to win back losses right? But it will protect my bank better???
So I guess I am asking what YOU do and why you do it that way????
Thanks so much ...look forward to your reply!
