Archie if it was to a real contender i would agree but the Angels are no such thing....if the guy likes being in chi town and Laa is his only other option i cant blame the guy as Laa isnt gonna make playoffs just like the Cubs...

Cubs and Angels are about as many games out of first..makes no sense to move for 2 months when neither team is making the playoffs.

Lee is a free agent after the year.

I guarantee he would have left for a good team. But for the angels? they are on the decline. They are practically rebuilding. Cubs just got a new owner, why not see what he does this off season? Lous retiring too.

he's a prick, cubs have done way more then they should have with this guy and he fucks em over...he's total trash and HOPEFULLY will be gone in the offseason as colvin needs to move to 1st since he's the ultimate butcher in the outfield

The Cubs announcers were saying during the radio broadcast of the game yesterday that. Lee has said on the record he will invoke his no trade rights no matter the team. He has a sick daughter and the doctor who is treating her is based in Chicago. He needs to be there for his daughter. it has nothing to do with him wanting to be on a winner. It is strictly for family reasons.

Amazing how quickly people call him a selfish prick when they don't have any knowledge of the situation.

He can stay in Chicago and lose. Why go 2,000 miles away and do the same thing?

Thank you. My buddy said this yesterday too. He was like then he's gotta move. NO HE DOESN'T. Finish off the season which will be roughly 2 more months. And then go back to Chicago to figure things out. Not like he has to sell his home and ship off to California for good.

i mean if he turned down a team like nyy, tex, sf, i would tend to agree more but saying no to Laa is not saying no to winning....

We seem to have similar opinion. Yeah, I wouldn't go either to the Angels. Somebody like the Phillies, def because the Phils will get in somehow either winning the division or a wildcard.
